Sustainability and Packaging
We take a holistic approach to creating more sustainable products and packaging. This means reducing waste wherever possible, implementing thoughtful design interventions, and collaborating closely with our manufacturing partners. We began by crafting our bottles from over 51% post-consumer recycled landfill plastic and getting rid of excess packaging elements. Our FSC-certified recyclable cartons are printed with non-toxic vegetable dyes. Our bottles are designed to be refillable, and we partnered with our manufacturer to adopt a foil-sealing process that eliminates the use of over 1,200 single-use plastic caps per hour during production.
We believe that all of these incremental changes accumulate, creating an overall impact that’s greater than the sum of its parts. We understand that there is always more we can do, which is why these efforts are just the beginning. We are dedicated to continuously improving our sustainability practices and setting new industry standards.
Our Refill System
We believe that refills are revolutionary, which is why we’re committed to offering refill systems for as many Humanrace Skincare products as possible. By refilling your skincare products instead of replacing them, you are helping us contribute to a significant reduction in single-use plastics and packaging waste. Refilling is a practice we’re proud of, and one we hope to help normalize in our industry.
Our Ingredient Standards
We craft our clean skincare formulas to the highest standards of quality and transparency, using only the most effective natural and clinical ingredients. Our formulations are vegan, fragrance-free, and cruelty-free, made without the 1,300 skincare ingredients deemed unsafe by the European Union. Our products exclude parabens, essential oils, mineral oils, and silicones, and are made without rocks, nuts, seeds or plastic particles to lower the risk of micro tears. All of our skincare is dermatologist-tested and safe for all skin types.
